The Beach

Sorry it's been so long. I was told I needed to post yesterday, so thankfully we went to the beach so I could get a few pictures. It was in the eighties, and the water wasn't too bad. Notice that I'm not in the water taking pictures. It wasn't cold, but it wasn't warm either.
Javen was able to try out his new skim board yesterday. He's trying really hard to get the hang of it so he can teach his Uncle Sam how to do it the next time we see them.

Jim is becoming proficient at skim boarding as well. I was lucky to get this picture. Two seconds later, he was flat on his back.

Eli decided to be brave this year and went in the water without any encouragement. It usually takes a lot of coaxing and a parent to hold his hand. Not this summer, which is good I think?
Lena was more than happy making sand castles and playing with a couple of friends who met up with us there. She only went in the water when everyone else did. Yes...those are sunglasses on Eli's head. He didn't take them off at all. And they stayed on even when a wave tossed him under. They all finally decided to go in and watch Jim body surf. And thankfully, this was a place with outdoor showers, so we took wet kids home, but left the beach there.
